Childhood ImmunisationHamilton Doctors urges parents to be proactive in protecting their children from preventable childhood diseases.

Each year there are outbreaks of Whooping Cough, Measles, Rubella and it's very important that we make sure that we prevent these outbreaks by protecting our children by immunising them.


Public Health Physician Doctor David Durrheim says children from the age of four need to be protected from many diseases and viruses that can breed in a school environment.

Over 600 children in the Hunter are not fully immunised...

NEW SHINGLES PREVENTION VACCINE AVAILABLE – ask your doctor or nurse if you are eligible and book an appointment with the nurse as soon as you can !

This vaccine is funded by the National Immunisation program for all adults aged 70 years as of November 2016. A single "catch up" dose will also be funded for adults 71-79 years of age until October 2012.

Coronavirus Outbreak

Cornoavirus OutbreakThere is an outbreak of coronavirus in mainland China.

If you have the following:
– Cough
– Fever
– Sore throat
AND you have travelled from China, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia or Hong Kong in the last 2 weeks
OR if you think you have had contact with someone with coronavirus
PLEASE Do not come directly to the surgery
You may put others at risk!

Payment

Our practice is a privately billing practice, this means payment is expected on the day of service.

If you need to take an account a $20 fee will be added to your account to cover administration costs.

Measles alert

There is a current measles outbreak in Australia.

Measles-mumps-rubella vaccine (MMR) is safe and available free in NSW for those born during or after 1966 who have not previously had two documented doses.

Discuss with your doctor about testing for measles immunity and further vaccination if required.


Mirena IUD

Are you thinking about getting a Mirena IUD?

Dr Marie-Anne Hockings and Dr Rebecca Lee are available to discuss and insert a Mirena IUD today.

ZOSTAVAX

Commercial medical services

Are you looking for a medical centre to provide commercial medical services to your business?

Please provide our reception staff with your mobile number and consent to receive these reminders to prevent a missed appointment fee.

New Patients

HAMILTON DOCTORS IS ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS.

We have both male and female GPs accepting new patients. 
We ask you to bring 2 forms of identification with you to your first visit.

Because we are a group practice there will always be a doctor available to see you
'on the day' even if your regular doctor is not working or away on leave.
